It’s taken me quite some time to persuade this lady to have a portrait session with me.

“I’m just not photogenic”

If I had a penny for all the times I’ve heard this. And in most cases it’s all but impossible to convince people otherwise.

“Just wait until my hair grows a bit”

“Maybe when I’ve lost a little weight”

Hear this a lot too. What is it that makes women over 40 think they can’t do glamour?   Not being a size 8 and totally wrinkle-free doesn’t make you all any less deserving of time in front of the lens. I’d like to give one of you Lancashire 40 somethings the chance to experience this.  So if you’re a ‘Bev’, or know someone like her, leave me a comment saying why you think you, your mum, auntie, grandma, or best friend deserves to feel fabulous and I’ll select one to receive a free photo-shoot in the next few months.

Oh couldn't be further from the truth. You are so photogenic and so beautiful. It's so easy when you get past 40 to feel a little invisible in a society that celebrates youth and extreme slenderness. But our faces celebrate lives well lived and loved and that is a wondrous thing

    Hello Amanda,
Here I go with my plee to hopefully get a free photo shoot hehe :D.
I suppose ill just give you a bit of my back round to start.
Im a 20 year old girl, I live between blackpool and Preston in a lovely village called Freckleton.
I have been suffering from anorexia and bulimia for 5 years now, I have had 8 hospital admissions and a near death experience due to hypoglycaemia. Of course I have very low self-worth and self - esteem, which gives a negative view of my body image. Im here today to plee for a free photo shoot, so I can have the chance to show off ky body and have images to look at to show me I am pretty, that the illness is deceiving me, to give me confidence and self worth. I wont even let my fella of three years tough my tummy im that conscience. Thankyou for listening, hope you dont think im looking for sympathy and umderstand my true reason for getting in tough with you today.
    Kind regards,
